About Solitaire Association
Our Mission
Solitaire Association is the definitive discovery directory for solitaire card games. We index every variant with comprehensive rules, strategy tips that actually work (tested over thousands of games), difficulty ratings, historical context, and curated links to the best places to play online and on mobile. We take solitaire seriously so you do not have to.
Our directory currently covers popular games like Klondike, Spider, FreeCell, Pyramid, and Golf, with new games added regularly. We also publish in-depth strategy guides and comparisons that are probably more thorough than any card game deserves.
Whether you are a beginner who just discovered that the Windows card game has a name, or an experienced player who knows exactly why deal #11982 in FreeCell is unsolvable, our goal is to be the most comprehensive and trustworthy solitaire resource on the web. Every page is written from actual gameplay experience, reviewed for accuracy, and updated whenever we discover we have been wrong about something (which is rare but devastating to our ego).
Our Team
Ace McShuffle
Commissioner & Professional Patience Practitioner
Professional Patience Practitioner and self-appointed Commissioner of the Solitaire Association. Has played exactly 47,832 games of solitaire (yes, he counts). His Klondike win rate is 43.7% and he takes it personally. When not arguing with a deck of cards, Ace reviews every solitaire variant he can find and writes about them with the seriousness they absolutely do not deserve. His therapist says the card obsession is 'concerning' but his FreeCell record speaks for itself.
